@prettypinkpro wants to curate women’s voices that inspire young women to greatness

The other day, I met @prettypinkpro on Twitter. Their tagline is cute.

Making strides…climbing ladders…standing our ground…in fancy high-heeled shoes!

@megdotemail and others are building an online community where young women can be fueled and inspired to greatness.

You can read about them here: http://myprettypinkponies.wordpress.com/about

Nina Simone, Feeling Good

Included in the Pretty Pink Pony mission is to connect young women with positive and successful role models. That resonated with me – reminding me of my blog soup series for women. Anyway, I thought I might point out just of few of the amazing women that have a presence on Twitter (and social in general)- in case the Pretty Pink Ponies didn’t know about them.

Gini Dietrich

Twitter: @ginidietrich
Blog: http://spinsucks.com
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/ginidietrich

Forbes dropped the ball when they failed to name Gini Dietrich among the Forbes Top 50 Power Bloggers. It just goes to show you that Forbes doesn’t have a thumb on the pulse of the blogosphere. Gini’s blog, Spin Sucks, is the water cooler for social media, PR, and marketing conversations. For bloggers in the know.

Sandra McLeod Humphrey

Blog: http://www.kidscandoit.com
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/KidsCanDoIt2

Sandra Humphrey has received numerous awards for her writing including the Helen Keating Ott Award for Outstanding Contribution to Children’s Literature. Myself, I’m a fan of Sandra’s blog where she reveals the biographies of heroes and heroines. Her writing and work uplifts me.

Carolyn Nicander Mohr

Twitter: @wonderoftech
Blog: http://www.wonderoftech.com
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/cnmohr

Carolyn Nicander Mohr blogs about tech with an emphasis on mobile phones, mobile technologies, and the apps. She does a great job at explaining it. Carolyn’s insight is so awesome that in less than a year as a blogger, her tech posts got picked up by The Philadlphia Inquirer. I love how she brings great warmth and friendship to social.

There’s many more important woman’s voices with a social presence across Twitter, Facebook, and beyond. Too many for me to list, link, and celebrate in a single blog post. But this is a good starting place. Get to know these leading ladies. They’ve made a difference in my life, thought, and social.

  1. Wow, Stan, thank you not only for the shoutout, but also for placing me in the company of these other amazing bloggers. I am humbled by your kind words.

I’m also a fan of @prettypinkpro. With three teenage daughters, I applaud her vision of inspiring young women. I appreciate you spreading the word about her and the other bloggers who do such a great job of sharing their wisdom with others.

Thanks for starting my week off so delightfully, Stan!

I’m glad I could help start your week off right, Carolyn. I’m also glad to hear you are already connected to the Pretty Pink Ponies!

  2. Stan. You’re the man.

  3. Reblogged this on Pretty Pink Ponies and commented:
Thank you, Stan Faryna, for “getting it”.

Don’t just follow. Talk to them. Say hello. Ask them to share themselves with the 3P community. All three are big givers!

Quite the lineup and I know Carolyn & Gini well and concur about not listing Gini in top 50; what do they know……..

I’ll have to check out @PrettyPinkPonies and Sandra; if they are on you list I know they are pretty awesome.

But I still won’t shave my legs even if they do make the high heels much more attractive…………..

  6. I’m a big fan of @prettypinkpro…We’ve become twitter buds! She calls me the ‘girlie stuff doc’ 🙂
