I wrote a post about a new Hearthstone community over at G.A.N.G (Geeky Antics Global Network). GANG is managed by Yomar Lopez (aka Yogizilla). Hearthstone is a digital Collectible Card Game (CCG) by Blizzard – maker of World of Warcraft. Hearthstone also happens to be the new hottest game app for iPad.
Today is Good Friday for Roman Catholics and most protestant Christians. It is a day that commemorates the crucifixion and death of Christ. Mel Gibson’s 2004 movie, The Passion of the Christ vividly portrays the agony and glory of Christ. I highly recommend Gibson’s movie for those who want to honestly reflect upon what it means to follow Christ.
Christianity is a religion, as I (imperfectly) understand it, that calls out to the believer to be a hero and to live greatness – the greatness of God. As my undergrad philosophy professor, Dallas Willard, once explained to me, the Christian life is nothing more and nothing less than nakedly following the naked Christ.

Good Friday

For some, today is Good, Holy or Great Friday- the day to remember Christ dying on the cross. Today is the day that the Roman Catholic Church has designated the anniversary of the Passion and Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The date of Good Friday changes every year. But I don’t know how they pick the date. Anyway, I stopped at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cathedral in Bucharest. There were long lines to the confessionals. Read the rest of this entry »
