WTF?! Stop lieing to you. And other social media DOHs! 5 Minute Therapy

Do you have true feelings about anything?

I am waiting. I am ever waiting to bring the world to the perfection that is longed for in hope, joy, and possibility.

Do you feel the same as I do?

Enigma, Return to Innocence

I await for greater forces (men, women or otherwise) of greater prudence, courage, self-control, justice and faith. I await their direction, their demonstrations, and crowd-roaring triumphs over impossibilities, danger, and humiliation.

I am waiting to do amazing things – more amazing than I can begin to understand or imagine. Because within me are beautiful, true, and good things. They move with such precision, certainty, and counterpoint. Like the heavens. Like celestial perfection. Like a clockwork of stars and galaxies.

I am not alone

I am not alone in these anticipations and aspirations.

And you are not alone in yours.

There is untested strength, courage, and beauty in our common will. So much unrevealed awesome in our common destiny.

Wait for no one

We need begin for the hour is late. We have lost ourselves in useless distractions. We have uselessly agonized over our unfulfillment.

We do not need more things. You. Me. We need less emptiness in our hearts. We need less dishonesty. With ourselves. With others.

We need to sanctify ourselves in love. Because we are nothing – if we, ourselves, are not love. Because love is, has always been, and will always be – what we are. Wait for no one!

Do I deceive myself when I allow myself to feel my deep hunger for love? Do you?

Has not love been everything for me- when I allowed myself to feel truly the things that I feel? You?

And yet, nothing I could do would purchase it and my happiness. With one single exception- love.

Do you feel the same?

Or, maybe, my words fail to sue for peace against the armed gates of your heart. Maybe, the walls of your heart are proud and tall like the walls of Troy.

I am of no consequence to you. I do not pretend to have wisdom for you. But who are you?

You, yourself, are of consequence to you. This is indisputable. And your emptiness longs to be filled with joy. With you. With love.

Just as my emptiness must be filled with love.

And, quite possibly, we shall find joy together. In love. With love. Through love. In the unity of our common will and destiny to be ourselves truly and completely.

Together, we can be the change that we want to see in our world.

If you can do one thing just for you today… allow yourself to feel everything as you watch this short, uplifting video:

That’s easier said than done, my friend.
Why dream, when it’s safer to have a mediocre life because there are no big risks involved?
Why love and open your heart, when it’s safer to hate because this way you won’t be wounded?

“A ship is safe in harbour, but that’s not what ships are for.” – William Shedd
Yes we may be wounded, we may fall, but…we can always get up and keep going. There’s no one there to stop us, except ourselves.

We should get out of our little boxes, and live our lives wrapped in a blanket of love. But as I said, for most of us….it’s easier said than done.
I’m trying to do so, but I still have some battles to fight, some fears to win over.

Lieing to ourselves that the easy way is the best way won’t do us or the world any good, it will make everything worse. We should move our lazy a$$es into doing the right thing. :giggle:

Beautiful choice of music again, Stan! (are you reading my mind or something?), and the last video is amazingly inspiring. We should all take a lesson from that kid, and from any other kid, they can do amazing things, because their hearts are pure, untainted by hate and fear.

But as you said, Stan, we can do it together, we can get rid of fear and hate, starting from within ourselves. And thus we can make this a better world, the world we all dream of.

It all starts with YOU! Laugh(even if you don’t have a specific reason), dream, LOVE!

Thank you Stan, for yet another inspiring blog!

I love “Return to Innocence”. What a perfect song for this since I always thing that song is inspiring in itself. It would be a better world if we came together (like the last video) and did big things with the power of numbers. Fantastic post.

    • Stan Faryna says:

I loved this song at first hearing. It was like receiving a blessing. I remember the first time I heard it. I was driving. I pulled over to the side of the road. Turned up the volume. Jumped on the hood and then the roof of the car. Raised my hands to heaven. Yeah, some people looked at me funny as they drove on by. But I’ve always been a freak like that.

Did I mention it was raining?

We just have to let… love…

      Thanks for your encouragement, Melinda.

Stan, this piece inspires me! Thank you for your love, for your leadership, and for exemplifying both are really the same thing. I appreciate you greatly and I am ever blessed by your gracious friendship. Hugs!

Your encouragement, like your friendship, mean a great deal to me. You have inspired me so many times. You go gently amid the noise and fury. Like a force of nature.

It’s good to see you comment, Aaron. As you seek a foundation upon which you can build your dream of a holistic (one life) workplace, questions about who we are and what we are doing will guide you.

How beautiful. Your words and the video. I hope to get to know you much better. Thank you for sharing something so powerful with us, with me. ~Amber-Lee

  5. Adrian Klein says:

Stan, I really like your post. You’re right. I’m not alone. Together – we can change the whole world. What can we do right now?

  6. Marcus Baker says:

    Hey Stan,

I can sense your deep desire to inspire us all to make a difference and we can. Many already are.

It requires no waiting. It begins with each one of us waking up to knowing that we are all one. When we hurt others we hurt ourselves and when we love others we love ourselves.

As we step out believing we can make a difference individually, so we may attract others to stand with us but whether they do or not we have control over this and it is not our concern. All we can do is shine and those who are ready will see the light.

My favorite line in your post today – “Because love is, has always been, and will always be – what we are. Wait for no one!”

I basked in this powerful tapestry of words, music and video. Thank you for the experience Stan.
