Marvel: Avengers Alliance is a turn-based social game on Facebook featuring dozens of the most legendary of comic book superheroes including Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, The Invisible Woman, Wolverine, Ms. Marvel, and many more. From deep space, a great pulse of energy slams into the Earth. As an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D, you will recruit superheroes, send your heroes on missions, research technologies you to need for the fights, stop the bad guys and their evil schemes, and save Manhattan (and the world) from destruction.

This walk through, guide, cheats or whatever you want to call it should help you get from level 0 to 10 without pain or SSOF (Slapping Self On Forehead). Like my Facebook Fan Page and I can keep you updated on the game guides I write and the Facebook games I play.

Avenger’s Alliance is the best Facebook guy game yet. I can’t believe that I could say that about a Playdom-Disney social game title! Of course, it doesn’t hurt this game has a movie to give it some stickiness. But I don’t write this out of mere enthusiasm for the superheroes that I have fanned since childhood. I write that it’s the best Facebook game yet for the following reasons:

1. Best in-game tutorial of a Facebook game ever
2. Best balance of game – real world money isn’t an obvious, huge, upfront advantage
3. Best story and character development – this game has a compelling and rich storyline

That’s not to say this game is for everyone who fans Facebook games and loves the cheats.

What could make Avengers Alliance the best Facebook game EVER?

1. Agents’ profile database vieweable by community and public

a. Agent Stats and Accomplishments
b. Player bio, links, pics (over 18)
c. Optional player diary (blog/reblog)
d. ADD friend
e. Player Messaging Stream of Friends
f. Facebook liking and Google +ing

2. Real Time PvP

3. Marvel Community Player Groups (like FB groups)

Avenger Alliance Tips

General

The higher your Agent levels, the stronger your team becomes. Win fights to earn levels and grow in power!

The Dermosteel Generalist Jumpsuit for Agents is worth the 8 gold that you get when you start the game. It’ll serve you to level 20 or more.

All Distress Calls are not equal. Don’t count on a Distress Call saving you from a desperate situation.

You get a better battle score if your heroes have more health when you make the last kill. If you can delay the conclusion without taking serious damage, use some of your turns to heal up.

Marvel Friends

50 gifting friends will help you get to level 10 without pain. Get to adding friends from the start of the game.

Visit your friends daily to get Distress calls, silver, energy, PVP energy, and SHIELD Points.

You’ll need friends to gift you the First Aid Pack, Restoration Pack, S.H.I.E.L.D. Points, etc. Gift to them to start the love going.

At the time I wrote this, there was no limit to the number of gifts you can send. Currently, you can only send 10 gifts to each ally per day. But there is also a limit to the number of gifts that you can receive. It’s 50 per day.

Remote Ops

Remote Ops bring in silver which you can use to buy things for the fights. You’ll need friends to unlock flight bays.

Don’t send your best heroes on Remote Ops just before you go on a mission. You’ll need them at your side.

Send Remote Ops when you go to bed, go to work, etc. You need all the silver you can get for training, research, etc.

Upgrade your planes for higher payoffs.

Marvel PVP

The idea of Player vs. Player may (or may not) turn you on. This is not the hard core PvP you may have experienced in other games.

Marvel PVP is just another way to learn the game, learn your heroes strengths and weaknesses, get a little experience, and get some stuff. 

Note: Supplies may no longer be dropping in PVP. We’ll see.

You can do PvP when your heroes are on Remote Ops – even with the same heroes that you sent on Remote Ops.

Level up the heroes you don’t love in the PVP.

Hero Training

Train your heroes. They’ll need experience to train. So don’t forget to rotate them between missions and remote ops.

Level Two Hero Training requires 500 Silver, 8 Shield Points, and 250 XP points – that’s the Hero’s XP not yours.

Level Three Training requires 1000 Silver, 9 Shield Points, and 438 XP points.

You cannot train a hero on a Remote Ops mission, but your heroes do earn experience on Remote Ops.

Tentative Top Heroes

Tacticians: Captain America

Scrappers: DareDevil (rocks it hard)

Blasters: Dr. Strange

Infiltrators: Spiderman (rocks it hard)

Bruisers: Thor or Hulk

Marvel Research

Do research so you can buy researched equipment in the store for your fights: things for killing, healing, etc.

Iso-8 space rocks (crack) permanently increase one or more of your six core stats: health, stamina, attack, defense, accuracy, and evasion. You’ll have to research them to research more advanced Iso-8 crack.

Once researched and paid for in silver (or just bought outright with gold), plug them into your suit. Don’t worry, you can replace them with new ones.

Up to say level 10, you can use the gifted health Iso-8 plug-ins. Beyond level 10, Iso-8s that only boost health don’t seem to be very helpful. But I could be mistaken.
